Reviewing Tests

Today in class we reviewed two tests.  We looked at environmental geography as well as Cultural Geography.  I got a 70 and a 71.  We are mostly looking over these for our exam that is on Thursday.  I already studied for more than half of it.  I haven't looked at any of the Essay but I will soon do that.  I am looking forward to doing good on my exams so that I can be able to raise my grade up.  I need to  earn around an 80 or more to keep my grade as a B so I certainly don't want to get a C or even worse. We also talked about how you have to calculated you exam score to see how to raise your letter grade.  Im probably the worst at taking Mr Schick's tests so I'm a little worried.  I always think I do better than I actually did.

Quiz day

Today in class this Friday we all took a test on environmental Geography.  This is also known as global warming or climate change.  Personally I think I did pretty good on the test.  I defiantly think I did better on this rather then the last one for sure.  I'm not really sure how many I got wrong but I'm guessing I get a solid B.  Some of the question were kind of confusing.  I finished the test first which doesn't make me feel very good but whatever.  I still think I put all my effort in to this test.  What is good is that all the questions were from the environmental geography google slide and not from anything else.  So its good that I studied the right material.  Hopefully I get the grade I wanted and I can move on and help the low grade I got last time.  Also hopefully I can preform well on the Human Geography Midterm test coming up.  That would make me feel very good.

Derek and Garrett Teach

Today in class we had a review day.   Review day is where a person in the class teaches the class instead of Mr. Schick.  I think this is a good thing to do and it helps us learn more about the subject because we can see how the student or students thinks about the subject.  Today Derek and Garrett taught the class, both good friends of mine.  We reviewed over the entire google slide.  By the end I knew a lot more on the subject.  I think we should do this more often because I think it was really cool.  Know I know what other people think about the subject and not just Mr. Schick while learning at the same time.  I think it is always good to look at something more then once because it helps a whole lot more.

Environmental Geography

Today in class we review more of the powerpoint environmental geography.  We mostly talked about global warming and how it is a real thing happening.  I guess it is a real thing, I just don't think it's that big of deal but maybe I'm wrong.  Im pretty sure this won't effect me.  Burning fossil fuels is what is making global warming happening.  Humans are the main variable in global warming.  With all the emissions it can give off a whole lot of carbon dioxide.  Then we looked at a Bill Nye video which is more of a newer one.  It tells us that it has been the hottest it has ever been in forever.  This could also cause more acidic oceans which will kill off all the animals in the ocean.  Shallow waters and coral reefs also can be at risk.  Last was a ton of loss in glaciers (and by ton I mean 400,000,000,000 tons. which is quite crazy.

Quiz

Today we had a quiz on culture and the five popular religions.  These religions were Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism.  For some reason I got Islam and Hinduism mixed up all the time.  So I don't know what I got but Mr. Schick is about to tell us right now.  I feel like I did decent but not my best.  So hopefully I didn't do to bad.  I did study for like a half a hour.  Our grade average is below average so mine might be as well.  Now there's a lot of tension because Mr. Schick hasn't said my name yet.  I want it to be over.  I'm now going to receive my test now.  I got a 70 which I was not looking forward to getting but it's ok I guess.  This was a big test so I will really bring my grade down.  Hopefully I will get a better grade next time.

5 Major Religions

Today in class, we learned about 5 mayor religions.  These religions where christianity, Islamic, Hinduism, Buddhism, and Judaism.  The fist religion we learned was the most popular one.  This religion is christianity.  It is also my religion.  There are 2.2 Billion people in the religion.  It is located in the Americas, South America and Europe.  The Holy book is the Bible.  The second religion we looked at was Islamic.  There are 1.5  Billion people in this group.  The third one looked at is Hinduism.   There are 1.1 Billion adherents.  This religion is located in India and Nepal.  The fourth religion we looked at was Buddhism.  Personally I really like Buddhism. I think it is a really cool religion.  The last religion we looked at is Judaism.  There aren't very many people in this category.  Only 14-18 million people.
